Glimpses of the nearby oceanfront peak through the lush forested setting. Exterior stairs carry you up to this second story retreat where an open living and dining area, with adjoining kitchen, provides more spaciousness and charm than many homes! A delightful bedroom sleeps two, with an additional sleeping nook to accommodate two more guests. Hardwood flooring, fireplace, ample closets, and a small desk will make your stay more than pleasurable.

Abundant windows and a screened door invite you to enjoy the fresh, sea air. Only a short walk from The Carriage House relish the “ocean water pool”, where nature, with a little help from man, created a unique swimming area where incoming tides are captured by a retaining wall, leaving behind a cherished “pool” and safe haven for kids and adults alike to frolic in its sun-warmed waters. An adjacent beach provides another venue for enjoying Maine’s ocean waters, or a great launching site for your own canoe or kayak – both pool and beach are shared with three other nearby family homes on this estate.

The Carriage House allows you to enjoy all the comforts of a full sized beach house rental, at far less the price! The property owners are a large family who also own 3 other nearby cottages (Kate’s House, The Boat House & The Play House) that, likewise, are available for rent. Guests of these other properties may also wish to utilize the “ocean water pool” or beach area, providing a wonderful opportunity to share in the peace and serenity of this incredible oceanfront property, while still maintaining your privacy back at The Carriage House.
