This spacious home overlooks nearly 280 degrees of view over Stonington Harbor - home to Maine’s second largest lobstering fleet and a variety of other seafaring vessels.

"Harbor View Cottage" is but one of the few places in the area where larger families or groups can be easily accommodated - very affordably! Six spacious bedrooms (all with water views) provide accommodation for 12. (One bedroom and full bath downstairs, 5 bedrooms and full bath upstairs) A large living room has a bank of windows capturing the southern water views, while another picture window gazes west looking over the harbor and downtown Stonington. An arched doorway leads to the kitchen, where another westerly facing picture window makes kitchen chores a pleasure while overlooking this picturesque scene.

Views are enjoyed again from the front porch, where a wicker settee and chairs offer additional gathering space outside. Further relaxation is offered in either of the two enclosed porches running along the full length of the southern side of the home. A small, grassy back yard leads to a granite ledge. Relax on the small wharf or step down to the protected beach. Consider renting kayaks from local establishments, as this quiet cove just off the main harbor offers easy access to launch for a fun day of exploring nearby islands - where you’re almost guaranteed to spot playful seals curiously peeking their noses above the water as you pass along.

Walk to the nearby attractions of downtown Stonington--restaurants, galleries, museums, antiques, shopping, theater, massage, ice cream, playground, basketball court, baseball diamond, lily pond, breathtaking scenery and so much more!! Or walk to the nearby ferry offering scenic tours of the area or day trips to Isle au Haut, part of Acadia National Park. A variety of activities are found around the island, and a multitude of day trips are just a short drive away.
